Lesley Corbett - Printmaker

I am a printmaker, based in Cambridge UK.

I like to make prints that are delicate, intricate and often layered. They have a theme of foliage, fronds and feathers. I am fascinated by their fragile beauty, and their elegant graceful forms.

As a rower I have been inspired by the shapes and images of the river Cam and the link between the sport and the ever changing natural environment - the willow leaves used to decorate winning Bumps crews, the reeds and wildlife, the varied bridges all add to the experience.
